Generosity from Larry Osbourne and Chris Mavity from North Coast

Back in New Years Even 1999, right before the year 2000, I recall asking Jesus to come into my life in a real way and change me, and guide me to the right church where I can truly learn His promises for me. The next day, I was getting drunk at the local bar (like a hypocrite), and a man sat next to me telling me about church.

I couldn't believe it. I later went to that church and the Bible came alive, and the Lord used the pastors to speak truth into my life. I experienced God in a real way that I had hoped for. My life was never the same, and that's a good thing!

Today Tammy and I took Pastor Larry's invitation to visit his friend Pastor Chris. Chris takes care of the home groups of North Coast, which is the main key to their ministry. This is what Tammy and I hope to help the folks in thailand with. Chris shared with us amazing online resources that will surely bless the folks we are visiting. Best of all, he is introducing us to a man named Rick who has spent years and years serving in Thailand, and leading the Thai people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Rick has been used of God mightily planting churches and evangelising. It is Chris's dear friend, and it's so cool that we get to meet this man, and have him available for encouragement and guidance in our ministry.

God is good!

Leaving Work to prepare for the trip

Last tuesday was my final day at Hydranautics. I am so grateful for the 3 years spent there. I learned a lot about the water industry, particularly reverse osmosis. I hope to use that skill and knowledge base in the future should the need arise during our mission trip.

There are so many kind people who work there, and my hope is that my friendship blessed them and encouraged folks as they contemplate walking with the Lord. I was able to share with several people there, on a one to one basis. A handful of folks gave their life to the Lord there after they heard the gospel. A few times there was powerful, miraculous answers to prayer for physical healing. I'll never forget my collegue's words after his back snapped back with no pain: He said "that fool healed me! I can't believe it!" I told him it wasn't me, I get no credit. Later on, I had a friend who had terrible leg pains and another who was scheduled for back surgery...but the doctor had to wait, because the Lord healed them.

The others I shared with? I don't know. Hopefully the seeds were planted and they will take root.

I'm especially grateful for the manager who hired me in my time of need (Rich), who is a Godly, Christian man. And I'm very grateful for my dear Christian friend Ric, who was a constant encouragement for me personally. He preached the Gospel with his life, w/o words first. And his life was miraculously spared after a terrible bout of leukemia.

Here's a picture of some other friends after they threw a potluck for me and tammy.
