Last week we had another busy week, and we both had a terrific time.
We spent Tuesday with our new friend Nahbi, who is a translator for Pastor Terry and Linda. She is Burmese. We got to know one another and we spent time with her adorable baby at the park. Nahbi helped us make contact with Pastor Maung from the Mae Sae Burmese Ethnic Church. He is interested in using Multiplication Ministries help planning and discipling his congregation. We gave him the latest revisions of our MM material, and plan on helping him get started.
Wednesday we met up with Pastor Terry who is starting the Hope Garden, Bible School. He shared his vision for home cells throughout the area, and hope that his vision can marry up with the local churches who frequently do not have home cells for fellowship during the week. Please pray for them. He has been working with churches throughout Kenya and China and Thailand.
When Friday came, we arrived in Chiang Rai. Our new friend Pastor Kumpun Sanit, a well known speaker-evangelist for Thailand, who had been a guest speaker for over 400 churches throughout the land over the past 40 years, invited us to sleep at his home on the fish farm! He had so much land for rice and fish and chicken. He has a great vision for the land and is planning a significant bible school there. He basically lives off the land there. He doensn't have a lot of money but he and his wife Rayno have all that they need there. We were the guest speakers at his Saturday night gathering on the farm.
We accompanied Pastor Sanit back to Mae Sae on saturday because a mix up with the Happy Home Orphanage. Rose's father unexpectedly passed away in USA, and Rose went back to the States on short notice. Please pray for Rose and her family as they grieve..Pastor Sanit blessed the home of his relative, as they had a house warming. It was a grand party. Most of the family and the guests were Christians.
Upon arriving back to Chiang Rai we had the opportunity to spend precious moments with our new friend "Onisimus" and his daughter. They wanted us to teach her things out of the bible and encourage her to spent alone time with God through the Word of God.
That left Saturday evening and Sunday to spend with little Prapee, whom Tammy had sponsored for years. She's growing up so fast, and we're really proud of her because she's so gifted as an artist, and Rose says she has a great gentle spirit and will be one of the leaders soon. She's a great kid! We're really proud of Prapee!
Now we're in Bangkok. We have lots of plans here for the following month. Please pray for our health, safety, and that God continues to open doors for us as we aim to work with church leaders throughout Thailand with Multiplication Ministries. We need to get our visa squared away, we need to get plugged into our Thai language courses here in Bangkok, and continue to work with translations for our MM material, plus follow up on all the consultations with our existing commitments. We also need to prepare for 2 major trainings we are conducting in the north of Thailand next month, plus 1 conference on Deliverance Ministries on March 10th.
God bless!
Alex and Tammy
