Friday and Saturday have flown by. Friday we got our cellular phones for Thailand at great international rates. Thanks to Marn the Thai man downstairs for giving us the heads up on where to go for the good deal!
Tammy and I enjoyed the beautiful lights they had near the King's Palace, as the Thai celebrated the birthday weekend of their beloved Queen.
Friday brought great news. Pastor Tae and Fang have found a place right next to their church which would be popular place to serve ice cream with a 2 bedroom place upstairs. It will be place where we could do a lot of relationship building. We can help teach english. Then we can put on the christian movies downstairs! The students already love the ice cream, and love the chance to practice english. But the church is so delighted to have this because of the chance to use it for outreach.
It is not yet in concrete, but if it happens, it would have been exactly what Tammy and I had been praying about, which the Lord impressed on my heart specifically many months ago. The cool thing is a different person runs the ice cream shop and will just pay us as a subleaser to the partition of the building. We are invited to work sometime to help them, and they will pay us if we help. The ice cream shop owner would share our kitchen, and we have a living room downstairs which they would be allowed to share (the owner) not the customers. But of course, the whole thing is to build relationships. So this will be a place we can show movies/ play guitar and sing, and run bible studies.
