Update September 15

Thank you all for praying for Tammy's aunt Marla....She's doing better, but she's a long way from being healthy.  She still has double pneumonia and is in critical care.  The positive news is her immunity according to the blood analysis is doing better.

Thank you for praying for Pastor Andy and Belle's son Denny.  Please continue to pray for paperwork to be approved and that the schedule opens up for his surgery to remove tumor in his brain. 

Thank you for praying for my sister Carlin too.  Her doctor says she's improving somewhat after some procedures.. She's in good spirits, but the arthritic/schleroderma effects have surely been a battle.  The doctors do not yet have a known cure for it yet. 




The past several weeks we've been busy meeting several publishers/sources for Christian publications in the Bangkok area.  As missionaries for Multiplication Ministries, we are hopeful to have our valuable discipleship tools available for church organizations throughout the land, on the shelf and in the inventory of bookstores.  We also want to know what else is available for churches, because one of the things we do as ministry consultants is encourage a deliberate plan from pastors on how to raise up mature followers of Christ.  It is important for us to know options and sound advice for those who are looking to implement a plan.

Other than that, we've been given permission by our church (Calvary Chapel-Horizon) to have a very useful book that they have published translated into Thai.  As we've done our rounds, there isn't a short but succint book that explains the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14.  There is a short booklet about 150 pages that we are looking to get in the right hands and we personally think this is going to be a huge blessing for many churches, if it gets on the shelves of a publisher here in Thailand.  This part of the ministry is not an official endeavor of Multiplication Ministries, but it is something that we as Horizon/Calvary Chapel missionaries believe in.  One of the challenges for every church is to have a new believer adequately discipled and familiar with their natural and God given gifts so that they may serve.  The booklet we are looking forward to having translated speaks on the supernatural gifts that are explained in great detail in the Bible, which radically changed the course of history after the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ.  A main problem has been conducting them in decency and maintaining order, which is why many church denominations simply avoid the topic.  The "Afterglow" book published by Calvary Chapel is outstanding.  It will help address all these issues.

God is good.  Thank you for praying for us.  The Lord has been faithful in providing for us throughout the year, as we faithfully work on these projects.
