Lao Translator available!

Thank you for praying for a Lao translator.  We believe we located one who is a strong Christian, and who is talented for this work.  He is currently checking with the Lao Evangelical Church organization for support on this project.  We will need 2 pastors/leaders to double check his translations.

The government in Laos, which is Socialist, has restrictions on organized religion.  However the church still exists there.  Foreigners are warned not to come visit the churches there because the government becomes suspicious of possible plots to overthrow the government.  The Lao Evangelical Church is one of only a few that are officially registered with the government.  They have strict guidelines they must adhere to.  Would you please pray that our translator will be given the green light by church leadership of the L.E.C. to proceed with the help he is willing to give.

There are many Lao people who are coming to the Lord right here in Thailand.  Serendipitously, 6 Lao Christians showed up at Ao Udom Church this sunday to visit.  They are living near Pastor Tae and Fang, and they were looking for a church!  I thought it was a funny thing that they would come on Sunday a week after we were able to make preliminary arrangements with a Lao translator for the first time.  We had been seeking help for 10 months, but with no success.  Thank you for praying.

To the right is a photo downloaded from the web of a location in Laos.  It is a land that is less affected by industrial development.
