Our Little Faith!

Our first child, Elianah Faith, was born this month!!!!  It has been a joyful, and tiring time, to say the least!
It was an exhausting time for Tammy....After experiencing  painful contractions,  we had gone to the hospital twice, being sent back home both times.  I'll always remember the day our child was born.  It was a long, long day.  The Ao Udom church held a special prayer night which went from 8pm to midnight.  I couldn't make it until midnight, but I heard that the church prayed for Tammy and I around midnight.  We found ourselves rushing to the hospital at  3:16 am.  Fifteen hours later, the doctor advised a C section and the child was born!  It was odd because the doctor always has a calculation predicting the approximate birth date of your child, depending on information the pregnant woman gives regarding their menstrual cycle. The estimated date is calculated as 40 weeks after the first day of your last period.  Oddly the day the baby was predicted perfectly to the day.
Our daughter's names along with my last name (when using the Hebrew translation of the words Elianah and Anit) coupled with the name Faith is a great picture of Ephesians 2:8-9.

Elianah means "God has heard my prayer" or a "gift from God" in Hebrew.... We all know what Faith means...it means to believe-to trust-in word and action.... and our last name Anit has a funny name in my family's country meaning the skin on your scalp/bald...but in Hebrew the name means "Grace".  In the old indian language, it means joy everlasting.  So we will tell Faith to remember her verses Hebrews 11:6... But we will also tell her Ephesians 2:8-9 is what her names are about:  Salvation is a gift from God, by grace, through faith
