2/25/2012 Making connections in an extended network for Multiplication Ministries.

Had a very fruitful 3 days of ministry in Chiang Mai, thank you for those who prayed for us.

We were able to meet FLC Frontier Labourers for Christ, who have worked for more than 30 years in the Chiang Mai area working with many of the hill tribes.  While visiting them we met their director, Beverley, who was widowed by the founder of FLC.  Please pray for their safety as several of the men who serve in this ministry mysteriously pass away for unknown reasons. 
One of their ministries is to the barefoot doctors, who are nationals with some medical training, that go out to the tribes and help as doctors.  FLC disciples several of them.    They have built a new Leadership Training Center recently.    Tammy and I provided Multiplicaton Ministries' Discipleship material to them, which we have had translated into Thai and Burmese.  It's important because many of these hill tribe leaders will walk for miles and miles just for a chance to hear the Word of God from pastors in the Chiang Rai area.    With the material translated into their language, they can surely use it to build around and pass out to others who want to disciple others.

We met with FFP Freedom Film Productions.  Our friend Pick, Noi, and Nit (who we know through Pastor Tae) introduced us to the Producer and Founder of this ministry.   FFP, led by Tom Silkwood, put together Christian movies for distribution throughout Thailand and abroad.  Some of their work includes "Path of Decision", "The Bridge", and several others.    They are currently working on a special project that documents the amazing stories of how the Lord is working throughout all Thailand.  Would you believe they want to do a story on our water store and Pastor Tae?  They want to film Tammy and I too!  We have a handful of incredible friends also in ministry who have terrific stories that are worthy of movies, especially our friend Dton from basketband.  We're making plans to move forward with that.

We also have been able to work closely with a Multiplicaion Ministries consultation with the Chinese /Thailand church in Chiang Mai.  We provided them with our latest translations of MM's Getting to Know God Personally Series.

Today, Saturday, we joined a Thanksgiving party.  We met some really good contacts thanks to Thirapong and Cristina, and as there is success with Thirapong's church using MM's principles for church growth.
