Thursday: Another powerful day... What a surprise!

Today was another incredible day. This is a pleasant surprise, and thank you so much for praying for us.  We had been, actually I was more than Tammy, so discouraged last week over all the changes we were going thru. And I thought Wednesday and Thursdays were going to be a total waste.  I was also worried about making this month too recreational, when the university was closed, that we would be someone unproductive, especially now the ice cream shop is closed.

But today was great, following an incredible night the day prior.  Cayme slept over, because the buses stopped by the time we stopped sharing with Suchia the night before.  Today I taught him a couple of the things I do, as an extremely busy person always on the run, to invite the Lord to direct the steps we take in the day...so that we get our job done, but also that we can experience Him leading us, and know we are truly being led by Him through the serendipity of it all.  We prayed a short prayer, had a short devotional, and went on our way.

So we spend the majority of the day at his university in Baengseng.  It's a huge college university.  We truly enjoyed the time, especially at the aquarium and museum.

It got to be around 6pm after we had our late lunch and looked for a basketball court, and looked around the pond and gyms.  I was kind of surprised nothing at all, worthwhile in terms of eternal things happened on our day.  This is because we had prayed the things I always pray about before great things happen.  And when I questioned why, Lord?  nothing at all?  Then the mini miracles happened!

We were on our way to the gates of the university.  It was gonna be a long drawn out walk, because that campus was huge!  Cayme asked if it was okay to take the motorcycle, and I said no thanks.  I vowed Tammy would not ride one of those, if I had any say on it.  He said, Tammy looks exhausted, and the walk is a long walk.  I said it's okay, we can run into your friends and they can give us a ride in their car.  He looked at me funny.  All the while wondering why he was walking the direction he was walking (remember we had prayed in the morning that the Lord would direct our steps).  Just moments later, we run into some Christian students with a guitar singing, some he knows.  I laughed ot myself because we were about to enjoy fellowship time and worship time and be able to share our testimonies to encourage these young men and women.  they were happy to know we are missionaries and were eager to hear from us.

We shared many stories, and had pictures to back up the stories.  Tammy shared her testimony too.  Then after i got a phone call  that took me away for some minutes, Tammy said "Alex, they are going to give us a ride in their car, not just to the bus stop outside of the campus, but all the way home to Ao Udom!".  Wow!

But that wasn't all!  God not only wants us to share with other believers to build them up, God wants His message shared with the world of unbelievers too.  the group wanted to do some evangelism before they gave us a ride.  One lady just randomly grabbed 3 other students and asked if they would sit down and listen about God's love for them.  It turned out that one gal asked them, when is your birthday?  And it turned out it was that girl's birthday tonite!!!!! whoaw!!!  that's the Holy Spirit working!  So we sang happy birthday and they brought her a cake and a candle.  Then they quickly shared a pamphet to get them started.

Then one of the gals was really distraught, because this christian student lost her keys.  She told me she felt like God tell her to ask me to pray for her.  I said sure, and we prayed that the Lord would direct a person to find those keys and give it back to her.  We opened our eyes after saying "Amen" and a security guard was in front of us.  They told him they are having a problem with finding the keys of their car/home.  He pulled out of his pocket some keys, and those were hers!!!!!  The group was shocked and laughing !!!! Wow!!! Then they shared the pamphlet about Jesus with this guard, and he was excited too about the story.

Then we went to play hoops.  It's funny because i brought the basketball i just bought, and carried it around all day and didn't get to play at all.  I was wondering why not?  that's lame.  But then God allowed us to play hoops.  The christian dudes asked if they could use it, and I obliged.  the group started sharing with a bunch of dudes on the side, but i decided to play hoops.  It was fun.  I suck though.  but it was fun though.

But after i ran over to where they were sharing with some dudes, and threw in my 2 cents.  Before you knew it I was blabbering away, and this guy was an open door.  So we encouraged him, if he wanted, when he was ready, he can ask Jesus into his life.  He said I want to try right now!!!!  He begged his friend to do so too, but he wasn't ready.  I told him on an airplane, the stewardess always tell you if loss of cabin pressure, put your mask on first, then when you're safe, try helping your friend.  Don't try to help your friend first, help yourself first, so then you can help your friend on the plane.  (The bible actually states there's no greater love than when someone lays down their life for a friend)  But the principle regarding the airplane is actually more applicable in this case, and I told this young man Sean that you can't force anyone to turn to Christ, God doesn't want it that way...He leads you to the truth, and tonite was going to be Sean's night, and maybe later another time for his friend.

So we shared plenty of scriptures and he later confessed he needed Jesus to pay for his sins, and he believed God loved him that much, that He sent His only begotten Son for him.  He confessed that he believed the Lord rose again after 3 days, and that he wants to follow the Lord now.

Praise God!!!!  Someone is born again tonight!!!! John 3:3.  1John5.  Romans 10:8-11.

Then our new friend Aey?" (I put the question mark there because you say her name as if you are asking a question, in order to pronounce it correctly) gave Cayme a ride back, and me and Tammy all the way back to Ao Udom.  She and her friend Noon got to meet Fang, and share what God had done today in our lives.

I had also reminded Cayme what we had prayed for today, and what I told him would happen....He was in amazement.
