I went back to work on other informative posters/brochures with the theme of God's Miraculous Creation: proving that the reproductive process for humans is so intricately complex, it is irreducibly complex to the point where "nature" could not have millions of years to figure it out, because species would not survive long enough to figure it out and keep its solution to build upon for all the other things to solve itself. It will have the immense scale of the known universe, and also speak of if the bible is true then there was a global flood during Noahs day that destroyed all living things, and how the evidence in the grand canyon and all other places around the world, contrary to what non Creationists scientists want to let you know, is heavily biased towards proving the global flood, just as you would expect given it is in God's Word, and Jesus spoke of it as a historic fact.
It's gonna be great.
We gave more funds to pastor tae that were donated for the water store. Please pray for this...Timing is so important. I plan on being in PI in December, and Tae gently asked if I could be here December for Christmas and for the water system, but I gently declined and said that our plans are firmly set for PI. But I will pray for delays with the water store, that when I come back in January, it will be perfect timing! He laughed. Everything is going to be okay. I told him it's important for me to be with family for Christmas and for the estate affairs in PI. He understands.
The ice cream lady came with her husband to take more stuff. They are unwilling to rent the extra frigerator to us. She had a sad, guilty face. I don't blame her. I don't know the whole story, but I feel sorry. The drama behind it bugs me a lot, and I'm not very pleased with it because it has affected the momentum of what we're doing here. I'm not looking to buy the equipment because time is short. We would not get the return on investment we would hope to see. Truthfully I'm a bit unhappy that Horizon asked that we limit our trip to 6 months from my desire to stay here 2 years to make it worth while. But I suppose there was some a lot of wisdom behind that time frame, given the number of hard luck stories of zealots that really weren't made out for serving in another land. If we were looking to stay, then I might consider buying the frigerator but instead we're just going to have to rough it. The plan Horizon had for us was for us to take a look at it, come back 6 months later, tell them about it, and pray more and if God truly had a call for us to be here, then to make a commitment for 1-2 more years, or whatever.
We then hit the streets and brought the rolled up End Times Poster. Tae brought us to a sushi restaurant where 2 students were sitting. He translated for us. They said they like 2012 the catastrophe movie because they like being scared. So I said good, what I will tell you tonite will definitely scare you. So we shared a lot, and then Tammy shared her powerful testimony. The college students started treasuring the christian pamphlet we gave them a lot more after she shared.
Tomorrow we are headed to christian camp near Pattaya. I'm not sure how often I can update the blog in the next handful of days. Our plan is to come back from camp on sunday afternoon with Sakchai, go to bangkok with him, and then stay either at the christian hotel/retreat center, or go back to the interplace hotel near Greater Grace Church. We plan on seeing a muslim man named Cisse, and invite him to the Greater Grace Apologetics course after dinner. Our friend Sandon will be teaching it. I told Pastor Tae that I need a break, just as I had planned to be with some friends coming in from Ireland before they decided to push it out another month. I had it in my mind/heart that we'd be in Bangkok, and we told people. So we're going to be there, if at all possible, Lord willing.
| This is Tammy being silly for the kids, riding the giant doggie for 25 cents. Tammy always knows how to have fun. |
| That's me struggling to get up from the floor since the ice cream lady and her husband took the tables! Actually it was me trying to do a situp. I was having a hard time, as you can see. |
