7/18/2011

Took care of some business today.  We help sponsor a young girl in the north of thailand.  Tammy's done this for a few years already, so we wento the mall to access the orphanage's bank account.

We had an unusual day, however.  I wore a shirt saying "Choose Jesus"  today.  The driver of the van who takes students to the mall (free shuttle service) was driving like a mad man today.  Afterwards, when we called him he lied to me twice about whether he would be available to drive us back.  It was odd because I asked Pastor Tae if he could call and translate for me, and he lied to Pastor Tae also.   He showed up five minutes afterwards, as we waited with 3 other folks at the stop.   Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but the fact that he told Tae he wasn't going to come back to the mall was strange.

Later on in the day at dinner we were trying to share some scripture with a lady who came to church last sunday, and said liked it.  It was peculiar because distractions galore came when we opened up the bible.  She couldn't keep her attention on what we were trying to show her.  Moments later an accident occurred and the fan on the wall was knocked off of its hanger and came crashing down inches from my head.  The plastic blades shatterred.  It was good I didn't turn around to look, because if I had moved, I could have got it in the face.

This may seem like a lot about nothing to you, but nevertheless please keep our personal safety in your prayers.  Please keep our friend Kayme (the lady at Suchia's restaurant in your prayers).
