Powerful day today

Every now and then you get one of those days and you wonder "what just happened!?"
I think certain days are just bathed in prayer, and blessings from above come pouring down.  If you were praying for us, thank you!

Tammy and I woke up very early this morning.  Tammy helped with the preparation of the food, and I got an early start praying for the day.  It was great to meet some people Pastor Tae had led to the Lord many many years ago, and who are in America studying in seminary.  They gave testimony of what God can do in a life, if you are faithful and take the time to share the Gospel.

I was having a momentary lapse of faith wondering about fruit, kind of drained from a very non spiritual week.  (Getting our visa, and also watching over the construction of the water system).  Then I was greatly encouraged when 2 people who we shared the Gospel with at a home cell in Pattaya (the relatives of Nuey and wife Kayme) stood up and decided they were going to give their lives to the Lord!   Praise God!  I was sad last sunday because after investing a lot of words to answer their concerns, they didn't come to church, but this week they did, even after Nuey hit his head and was unconscious for some time during the week.  They could have easily wondered why would they want to be christian when Nuey had the misfortune that led to a concussion this week, after we talked about how God is our protector and takes care of His children.  I was so happy for these 2 ladies.

We had a good time sharing with 5 university students today.  Three of them asked to be discipled together, and we went over Lesson 3 of MM's gray folder:  The Ministry of the Holy Spirit.  These kids were so fascinated by the scriptures and had many questions.  Sonn, our house mate joined in.  They prayed at the end to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to be empowered to over come sin and to be directed by God...(after confessing that they had been more or less a carnal christian).  It was cool to see them so fired up and sincere in their prayer time, and immediately after they just got all excited to serve the Lord.  They wanted to start an English - language worship time in our home.  It was fun and gratifying to see them have a heart like this.

After worshiping the Lord thru music for sometime, we went to dinner next door at the church.  A middle aged couple came and asked about the church.  They were looking for one for a while, since moving from Bangkok.  The wife was already christian, but the husband was not.  Some people from the church shared the Gospel with them, and the husband gave their life to the Lord!

Praise God!

Things to pray for this week:  a) God's provision to Ao Udom Church's endeavors, God's provision for us.  b)  Tammy's teaching about 15 students that said they want to learn English (please pray these people are faithful to their commitment, and Tammy can handle the pressure)    c)  Pray for the ongoing construction of the water store, and that we can get customers and HELPERS that are faithful and honest, talented, and hard working.    d) our ongoing evangelism to Suchia's family and to the workers in the Q restaurant, and to Mike and his friends.   e)  Please pray for the 3 people we are discipling (Came, Wa, and now Namyen).  f) Please pray for the next wave of friends these 3 will be discipling, and the next wave of future leaders we'll be teaching in the next 2 weeks.   g) please pray for our friends Mark and Tom who hope to come here in September
