7/7/2011

Today we accepted an invitation to visit a Thai jail in Chon Buri.  Our friend has 2 sons who have been incarcerated, and we went with her to encourage her sons.  We had only 10 minutes (rather 5 minutes with each).  Please pray for Jack and Bank.  Jack will be out of jail within 4 months.   I'm hoping that our friend Mark can encourage the young men to get their life right with God.   Mark is coming from the USA in September.

This is a picture (not mine) of another jail's visiting room in Thailand.
Just as in America, there is a visiting room where the inmates are separated by a wall and a see through shield.  Conversations are carried on through a telephone.  I could see excitement in some faces, but torment in others.  Some inmates pleaded and begged for their family members to pay the money to get them out.  But some of the family members (parents) choose not to help them out because of their decisions.  It's really a pity.  Many people want their freedom, and use their God given freedom to do evil.  Sometimes there is no fear of consequence in these individuals.  They think they can go on forever without consequence and discipline, causing many others to suffer because of their poor choices and their selfish nature.  Such is the way of the sinner who willfully chooses to reject the Lord and turn from their selfish ways to withold their heart from He who gave them life.  Often their personal choice to refuse God results in many others, especially their family and friends to live with the consequences of it.

The scripture warns that after death, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God who will judge them.
