Sunday Service

Today Tammy and I both taught at Ao Udom's Church and Church Plant in Bowin.  In the morning I preached on Ezekiel 33 The Watchman.  I was pleasantly surprised to see our friend from Bangkok, Boonchiow, make a surprise visit!  He didn't know I was preaching, and it was terrific because the first time I preached at this church, this is the man who showed up and translated for us.  I thought it was funny.

I think the sermon was pretty good, but because of the translation time, I admit it was long.  Boon told me, "too long! (afterwards).  But anyways, he was probably right.  But I don't believe in short changing anyone...  But for all of you who think I talk too much, you're not alone!   : }

The amount of history involved in teaching the O.T. is daunting, but Get the Picture makes sense of it all when speaking of the Cross.  Jesus makes sense of it all by what He did for us.
Part of the sermon had to do with a responsibility to your family, friends, and country to let them know of what God had said regarding judgment of the wicked....but intertwined was an encouragement to invest in 1 on 1 relationships.

Tammy had the history charts were printed for Get the Picture.
Tammy did another great job at "Get the Picture"... Pastor Tae and Fang really admired her job teaching a complicated history subject and asked her "do you read the bible a lot?"  they were shocked that she had only taught twice!  Anyways, praise God because of that Get the Picture Chart.  Vicky Semereau developed it, and wrote the curriculum, and it's outstanding.  Thank God that Tammy was able to work diligently on it over the past months, and that hard work is paying off with God's help!  I'm very proud of how Tammy's picking up on teaching and preaching...and it starts with just facilitating something that was developed beforehand.  In the future, it will help Tammy develop her own lessons.

Here are some pictures... God bless you for praying : )
We had a particularly tough week leading up to this sunday, so please remember us in your prayers as they do matter.

Preaching on our individual responsibility to take care of family and friends regarding the Gospel.  God says if they don't want to believe or listen, then the consequence is on their own head, but you would have been faithful with what He commanded you to do.  Around 80% of Christians who profess being born again in America say they came to the point in their life to receive the Lord because a family member or a friend came to share with them the Good News.  MM/CDI preaches the importance of building a church culture where sharing the Gospel in your immediate sphere of influence.

We asked people to look for someone other than the pastors and leaders who they would trust to guide them...(so there's a culture within the church of being a good brother and good sister/ mentor regarding the things of God).  This goes into the Multiplication Ministry/CDI church consultation to build on 1 to 1 relationships.
