We went to church in Bangkok and had the privilege to share Multiplication Ministries' Consultation with several future leaders. The church service is unusual in that it starts in the afternoon and stretches throughout the day.
This particular church has been without an official pastor for quite a while, and it has survived by hiring the best guest speakers in the land to visit and feed the flock.
The group leaders of the church are passionate for the health of their church but without a pastor, there is cause for concern.
Unfortunately the board was unavailable for this particular visitation as they are preparing for their camp, however more than a dozen folks from this church and others came to listen to our presentation. Our friend Sakchai is hoping we could come visit again soon, and this time discuss our MM material with the board, and with the entire church. The good and bad thing is that there are some matters within the MM presentation that specifically address issues that may hit close to home with some obstacles affecting this church body. Our prayer is to help gently guide leadership into more effective ways of building their church.
