Today Tammy went to the city fair with Sonn, Frame, and the cleaning lady Na whom she is sharing the Gospel with and making friends with . She had a great time today.
Tammy met up with me at the Q restuaruant. On a whim, I brought the devotional "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. I decided to play a game with those kids because I noticed they had stuff like tarot cards and horiscope stuff there. I told them you want a real fortune? Let's encounter what GOD wants to tell you today! So I had them close their eyes and flip a page to the book, and then I read them a short scripture. They all gathered around the table and wanted to hear, one by one. Two of them flipped to the same page, which was strange. The devo for that page had to do with praying without faith, yet God answering. Like when they were praying for Peter to get out of jail, only to find out God answered the prayer beforehand and they couldn't believe he showed up at that very moment. My encouragement for application was that I know they have a little little faith in my God, to the admission of my friend, that he doesn't have zero faith, but he has some little faith, but thank God not nil-- sometimes God will answer and move on that little faith you excercise to try and approach Him...just to reward your little faith and encourage you to go deeper. I told them about the time I didn't have a whole lot of faith God was gonna do miraculous healing at my request for someone who was ailing right next to me, but for a season, God healed 3 people in a row, though to my own admission I had little faith. The guys enjoyed the story. I think it's a small miracle these guys understand my thai speaking.
It was a fun night. Hopefully these small seeds are going to take root. Before we left, our friend Ninja and his pals dropped by and wanted to talk about interview skills. We gave him a chance with the Word of God too.
Thanks for praying, those are some immediate answers to have open doors to share more and more with these guys. The other good news is 3 people called for English class today. Then the guys at the Q wanted to arrange a day where they can take English classes with us.
