Divine Appointment on Saturday

Tammy prayed that God would bring us what we call a divine appointment, where the Lord brings someone our way to share the Gospel with.  We love it when something inexplicably serendipitous happens that everyone says, that's got to be God.

I sad in the house depressed working on some stuff for Cristina, Pedro and Elisha.  I was sad because all day we were burning DVD's, but I really wanted to visit the orphanage but we have to wait til tomorrow.

Anyways, after going to the night market and finding some nick nacks, something happened!

Tammy and I ran into someone pretty influential and famous.  Malcom Forster is an employee for Elliott Sober who likes to write books on how the universe was created by natural means, with no Creator.  He opposes Intelligent Design.  Anyways this guy chose to sit at our table for dinner and we spoke of my engineering and science background.  He wanted to know about our mission..  Then it led to things of God.  He confessed he didn't have a lot of answers to the questions I presented to him to show his "belief system in "science" really had a weak foundation, and required faith to buy into what he was asserting.  He said but even catholics believe in evolution.  But we said we don't.  God said He made us in His image, that's what the Word says.  He continued to HOPE that science would find answers to build a better foundation but really he was grasping at straws at the table, however calmly and open minded he wanted to sound that science could find some theory to explain the origin of 1. matter  2. the single cell  3. why there's a sorely lacking fossil record to show Darwin's theory on gradual change was correct.  I also shared a lot of stuff from AIG and Lee Strobel's stuff.  After softening him on his stance in what he believes, we asked if we could share our personal testimony with him.  (He was probably reeling already from what I told him God did for my mom when she died)  He said he had to run!  But he said it was too late for him to change what he built his life upon.  I told him God loved him and start with that, and we'd be praying for him.

Please pray for Malcom and Elliott that they would not be blinded and they see that GOD not unknown magical events, created.  And that they would eventually turn from their wicked ways to the glory of God.  That their writings would not lead more astray to ultimately refusing to believe God (the world continues to believe less and less in God).  Thanks!!!!
Alex and Tammy
