One thing that I just can't get enough of is to see God's plan reveal itself. He's Sovereign. He's on the throne of Heaven. He gives us free will. But I feel like a pawn in something much bigger than what's on the surface.
Today we spent some time with an agricultural consultant who helps 3 different countries improve the use of their natural resources. We met this man on the airplane. It turns out he knows the friends we were hoping to visit at the Burma border. They've been friends for 4 years.
I brought Cristina, my 5th grade friend, who has come to Thailand the same time as we did to do missions. She's a pastor who takes care of 6 countries pastors, including Philippines. She recently was told she had to find a person that was to report to her so she can be discipled into the leadership training for the church. But they had no idea how to find each other because there were some phone numbers that were lost. I took Cristina to meet our other missions friends Jim and Denise at the border so they can help one another. Jim and Denise accompanied us to visit the farmer we met on the airplane and Voila! Cristina found that lady she was supposed to find. That lady and her are supposed to create the English teaching organization and put it under a foundation. The farmer has a foundation which can help.
Anyways today was very enjoyable as we got to learn about modern techniques used to increase the productivity of farms. It reminded me of going to Cal Poly, SLO. Our farmer friend is involved with community improvements regarding agriculture. It was terrific to see his ministry. It was terrific to see the partnerships forming for many of our missionaries friends who will be helping one another, and its a good feeling to play our part putting them together.
