Friday Happy Birthday Tammy!

This week we had a very good meeting with Pastor Tae where we invested some time showing him some presentations from Multiplication Ministries.  He saw good value in the suggestions and is looking to implement the suggestions.  He would like to translate for us as we share this with other members of the leadership.  We will meet them over the next weeks.

We met up with Maee, the girl who is helping translate some materials for us.  Please pray for her.  We were notified that not too long ago she had been going through some terrible demonic activity in her home, before Pastor Tae prayed for her and her home.  We have other contacts in Bangkok helping with the translation, but we had really been hoping to build a good relationship with her in the 3 weeks she is going to be here in Ao Udom.

We are helping a young man named Came with discipleship.  he is interested in knowing how God speaks to him directly, so please pray for him to hear during devotional times and to know how it is that God will speaking to him through the Bible.

Other than that Tammy and I have been studying A LOT.  Thai language, English Teaching, Get the Picture (Bible Teaching for Tammy), and my water certification studies.  Pastor Tae provided Thai speaking coaching lessons for 1 hour thursday, and we had an awful time perfecting the sounds.  We'll get there though.

Tammy and I celebrated a 2 year anniversary this month, and her birthday.  Not sure why she didn't want to have a party, but i obliged and just took her on a special outing to the Botanical Gardens in Pattaya for a day.

Somethings on my mind right now -  finding a way for us to get more exposure and meet up with the college kids more.  Secondly how to make our home more inviting than it is right now.  We share with a mom and her kid, in the old ice cream store, but the place is not the same now that the shop is gone.  Tae and Fang will be moving from the church into their own home soon, and so some of the items will be moved out...There'll be some transitions going on in terms of the home we live in.  Our heart is to make this a place where all the church and even the unchurched friends we have can come here and feel comfortable to drop in, even into the later hours of the evening.  We want to build more relationships.

Fortunately the English classes promise to bring many students and families into the church.  We've already met more than a handful of folks in 1 week here.

Things to pray for:  More extraordinary, divine appointments, and for impact within the community.  God is All Powerful, All knowing, Everywhere, and Outside of time... Having Him send us over here, the last thing I expect is a normal typical day.  Pray for workers for Tae's water store who are faithful.  Pray for financial support to come in, and maybe even a donation for a car (sometimes other missionaries are leaving the country and don't need their car any longer).  Please pray for continued safety, health for us and for our extended family back home in the USA.

God bless,
Alex & Tammy
