Sunday Service

had a good time today with Kame and Namyen, and another college friend from the church Wat. Unfortunately our friends we made who might help us translate, couldn't make it to church, which was really disappointing for me because we were hoping to continue building relationship and it's so rare to have english speaking thai nationals as friends who love God. Anyways, please keep them in prayer that Ao Udom Church is a good fit for them, if not that they find a church they enjoy. that's what's important.

I shared the message in the afternoon service, leading to the supernatural meaning of what it is to have the Holy Spirit empower you. I don't want to judge from the long faces and the tired looks, and the couple people outright sleeping, but I guess it wasn't all that great of a message! Well, praise God the translater did a good job with no hiccups! Anyways, you never know who the message was for, and what the result is in their lives, and if they prayed the prayer at the end that will usher in something great. But at least i read from the bible what I believed God told me to share. The results are up to Him and up to the people to grab hold of the truth written in it. It's like one of those rappers who said in a movie, I just lay it out, and you play it out, man!

These are our friends Sakchai, Gin (his wife), and their aunt Sonn.  Unfortunately Sonn lost her husband who had been suffering from Alzheimers the following day.  We have been visiting the week long memorial service for her husband Muang.  We had met him last year.  To our knowledge, he rejected the Gospel repeatedly until the day he breathed his last breath.  We have gone to the family services at the Buddhist Temple to comfort the family.
These guys are eating some strange food and enjoying it.  I didn't really care for it!

This church really hangs out like a big happy family.  Here they are having their supper.  It's a wonder they can stay so slim.

Here I am trying to explain how God, the Holy Spirit, leads us and guides us through life in truth...through SPEAKING.  It's a concept, to really "hear" how God is speaking to you.  But it's a guarantee Jesus said would happen.  That's why religion is boring, but having a real relationship with God is the most exciting thing that can happen in your lifetime.
