Friday

We had a good time helping Pastor Tae disciple some people today both in Bowin and at the Factory.  Tammy taught kids and adults english.  Please pray for Boom, a young housewife who is having hard times making ends meet, and doesn't see how she can take sundays off to worship the Lord sometimes.

I met Tae's pastor friend who was speaking of some problems he was having getting land to rent and build a church on.  There's obvious technicalities regarding the matter, especially for superstitious land owners.

My friends from Asymtek are here, from all around southeast asia.  The PhD guy I helped by developing a conceptual interface for a special cutting edge technology is here, along with the VP of R&D who I had known a little bit back in the day.  I told my friend Victor, who is from PI, to say I said hi, and if they are looking for a part time consultatnt or part time hire, I'd be interested in what they would have to offer.

I also believed I heard from the Lord clearly what I needed to hear while I was in Pastor Tae's friend's church.  I had specifically asked to refresh my memory and speak clearly what the main role I'm called for to this region is....  I believed the Lord showed me 3 words: Give, GI, Iven (like Evan in the movie I just watched at the church Evan Almighty).  The last two words make sense to me, but the 1st word was what hit me.  All 3 words were pertinent, but the 1st one was important because it has to do with resources.  And this to me is a green light to pursue some business opportunities here in Asia that will supplement our income wherever we land in America, in Asia, or wherever we spend our lives at any given time.

Please pray for the Lord to give me insight on things that we can do to bring in income which doesn't necessarily require our presence there.  I don't know what it is....  Sell scarves?  We have a potential supplier in Cambodia.  Start a technical servicing group contractor outfit.  Put billboards out and sell the space on a monthly basis?   We'll see.

Thanks for praying.
