Had a great weekend overall. Helped our sister in Christ move into the home (she will be taking over the rent for us as we move on to Philippines). Sohn and her daughter Frame are so kind, they want us to keep the main room until we go back to the USA, though we'll be in PI and Chiang Rai. After we moved them in, we set up our home to host several church members for the saturday fellowship/meal time. Tae and Fang were happy because it was a nice change from doing this in the church.
We had a lot of fellowship and too much to eat this weekend! We shared the Gospel with Sakchai's sister, and Tammy shared her testimony. Sakchai said it was good because it was shocking and powerful and his sister actually listened carefully...(She never really wanted to hear the Gospel before).
Praise reports: Suchia said her son has checked into an anti-drug facility, praise God! that's an answer to prayer.
We're telling people we are about to head out to PI, and many people's face drop and are sad. They say they will miss us, not just miss us but miss us a lot. And it's amazing because there are people / vendors we see on a regular basis, and they say that, and you can tell in their face it's emotional for them. There's another young lady who was so sad because we won't be around for her birthday, but we'll be back in January. I asked tammy to give her a bear hug because she looked so sad (her child recently died from drowning 3 weeks ago), and the look on Nic's face told a story about how a simple hug and sincere love from God coming thru His servants goes a long long way. I wish I could have captured the picture because you can just see the pain and comfort all mixed into one picture.
Tammy also gave a nice shirt that didn't fit her anymore to a lady at the church, and the lady was so moved, especially since it came from America. Anyways, I can attest to how small acts of kindness to a starved heart can point people back to the reality that God cares. To Him be the Glory
