Sunday

This weekend we spent more time building relationships, teaching scriptures to our friends.  We are thankful for your prayers.  Mike stayed til 130 am and we spoke on many things regarding End Times prophesy, the impeccable record the Bible has in predicting so many things already that have happened already.  More important Mike shared that since speaking to us and Pastor Tae last week, he has taken off the necklace of the Hindu god and discarded it.  He still was praying to Buddha this week, but he said every day he has been taking a shower after that, and then praying to Jesus.  He asked, do I still have the okay to talk with the monks?  I told him, sure, I mean we can speak to anyone...we can like many people.  I'm sure the monk is very nice and has wisdom, which is similar to God's wisdom...such as being kind, gentle, respectful, etc.  But the wisdom from God in the Bible is superior and goes beyond what is written in other religions, because its source is from God... But I encouraged him, take time praying and reading the Word of God, and he will see for himself..He will find he can trust the Lord of the Bible, and at that point, it will be much easier for him to cut ties with other things.  I read him John 10...that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and is the Gate, as well.  Like Pastor Tae told me, many religions can say they can take you to the same place...the Gate...but only Jesus opens the Gate!  Amen!  Tammy and I laughed when we went to church today in Sira Cha and they had 2 scriptures, they preached on, 1 of them being John 10:7-10 about the Gate/Good Shepherd.

We went with Teacher Steve Cheong who really wanted us to see the other church where he teaches english.  He runs the English Teaching Institute, and is the board member and developer.  He shared all his material, and encouraged us that if we continue to be involved in international missions throughout periods of our lives, that english teaching is a good avenue to build relationships, and he wanted to share the material with us.  Steve brought us also because a special moment / honor was happening today at Sira Cha church.  His graduates of his class, including a girl who won 4th place in Thailand's english speaking contest was there to receive their certificates of graduation.  Praise God.  You know I have a much greater appreciation for these graduates given the difficulty of speaking/communicating the Gospel to thai people.  Our prayer is that these people who graduated that are christian will have a heart to help missionaries like us who have so much to share and teach, but don't yet know Thai.

We visited a different church, one of the more "powerful, influential" ones throughout Thailand.  I was glad to see how the people were excited there.

Please continue to pray for the Cambodian friend of Cayme, Chai (and for Cayme).  They both are students that get very busy, and could not come to church today at Ao Udom.  Please pray for Mike, and his friends nicknamed "Ninja" and "the Rock".  Please pray for Suchia and her son Bank, for Nong too (the restuaurant owner).

God bless,

Alex
