We met the 2 water experts, and put them together. And they talked for hours on end about water chemistry and technology. The seminar was a success. Though most of it was in thai, I benefited from spending 2 days with these guys. I was grateful because something broke n the field with the media filter which I am not entirely familiar with, and I got to watch these 2 old guys troubleshoot, but in the end , what I suspected was wrong turned out to be the real solution. So Steve said we should have just listened to Alex, we would have saved a lot more time! But I actually enjoyed the process, because I learned a lot listening to them. The Steve guy actually put in many systems of huge resorts and even government systems in Bangkok.
Tammy and I planted many seeds of faith with Steve's 28 year old daughter. She was amazed. Steve, on the other hand, is scarred from several things in his past, especially the death of his Buddhist wife many years ago. He's not really open to hear the truth of God, because he probably thinks God hates him from the tragedies in his life. But I know the relationship he has with Youngyoot and Tae will be mutually beneficial..And eventually, Lord willing, He will hear the Gospel and receive it.
I get the feeling that water can be lucrative business, but these old timers aren't really making a whole lot out of it these days. One guy is retired, but Yongyoot just uses it as a ministry, but I know he made big bucks with in in the past, but also had to spend for the capital expenditure. I really feel priveleged to meet these 2 guys and put them together. They both are extraordinary individuals who rub elbows with many influential men in Thailand. Both of them work closely with the Federal Drug Administration of Thailand. Both know many ins and outs of business in thailand. Both want to work with me in the future, but I'm not sure how that is going to work out, when and where, and if.
Again thanks for praying for God to help me with ideas on side businesses. A friend sent a message to me asking about Shrimp in the PI, and I realize we have some connections with family and friends who actually do this business with great results. Actually 2 separate friends spoke to me about this in the past 2 days that they had been hoping to do something like that.
Two things coming up are: Friday we will be hopefully meeting with a translator or two and drumming up interest with many local shop vendors who recognize us and see if they'd come to church sunday and listen to my preaching on the end times in the book of revelation.

| The system of a condo owner wasn't operating correctly. Steve and Youngyoot troubleshot, but in the end, my input was the one that turned out correct. Not bad for a guy who never was responsible for media backwashes before. |

| These guys loved talking shop...Youngyoot said he can talk for days with Steve non stop. He loves joining minds with a guy with great credentials like Steve. Steve said he had never seen a better run water storehouse than Youngyoot's and that he's one of the most educated men he's met in Thailand. They have a lot in common, along with an affinity for smoking too many cigarrettes. |
