We were up late last night. We were able to chat with a friend I have in Mexico, that I met back in 2001 or so. We've stayed in touch over the years though we haven't seen eachother in 8 years or so.
He studied to be a biologist and is now looking to interview for a great job on Monday. Would you please pray for him? His name is Sergio. Last night I stayed up til 2 to answer all his questions and lead him to and thru the salvation prayer. He accepted Jesus last night as his Lord and Savior! Praise God, that another one is born again.
We had a very late start. But we found a cool cofee shop hangout around the corner. I had to rush a bunch of important documents out to the USA and had to get to a post office. It was hot, and a long walk. Luckily the Lord brought us a familiar face, the very man who drove us 5 hours to bangkok a week ago!!!! He recognized us, and he said, hop in, I take you! He was taking a bunch of people off to a set destination, but this guy took off the set path, just to get us to the front door of the Post Office! We got the documents out just in time before they locked the doors of the Post office! Praise God.
We walked thru the college campus. It was cool. They had a fair with many shops open. We saw where we can make relationship playing hoops. I played for half and hour and was drenched in sweat.
Later we went for a prayer meeting for 2 hours.
My thoughts for today: I need to be able to communicate thru Thai language better. I mean fast. It'll be hard to really promote the cell groups, the english center, or the radio station unless i do, or else there's a translater the Lord may provide.
I also need prayer on being a better communicator thru my body actions. I have issues looking at people and acknowledging them with eye contact, as I go thru my daily routine. I'm usually having my mind on something, but I need to be better at that.
I think I need to be a little bit more gentle in communicating too. It's a tough call, but thai are so very gentle spoken, and it may serve me better to be more naturally gentle so that I could be more win-some. I think as the Lord leads, the tone may change depending on the point. I'm not sure if it comes off as prideful, and not humble. I think pastor Tae gently suggested, and subtely suggest going in that direction for the future, to match more his approach, considering the thai culture.
Thanks for prayer! Tammy's doing good. We are still trying to find places to go where she is happy to eat the food, she knows a couple places, but we need ones closer to the church thru walking distance.
God bless,
Alex
