lit up streets of Thailand

Last night, Alex and I went on the lit up streets of Thailand,  to see the beautiful lights for the queen's birthday.  We were so glad we went to see it!  We almost didn't go because we were so tired.  I'm so glad we went.

Today, we went to see the traditional thai show.  We also met a nice family from a former state of the Soviet Union.  We spoke with the mother, and she loved getting to know one another. Tammy shared her testimony, and I shared some stories at the end of the trip that we hope opened her eyes regarding what Jesus can do.  Please pray for her to receive what we shared about the Lord.  Her family is very nice, and the daughter is the best gymnast in her country...she will likely be in the Olympics next time they come up!  They are from Baku, in the country of Azerbaijan.

She confirmed that the USSR did not allow for religious belief.  Could you imagine that?  She stated that she and her family was very curious about the things of God for different cultures.  Though many muslims live in those areas that are somewhat related to the Turks, they went to visit a christian church at some point out of curiosity.

I told her that what makes followers of Jesus different, is that those who truly know His Word know that our ticket to Heaven is based not on our performance...it is based on God's mercy, and what Jesus did on the cross for us, in obedience to what God the Father told His Son to do.    Previously we had spoken about "truth".  She agreed propaganda can deceive and alter the truth, and her way of getting the truth is to see it for herself and ask people who are actually there.  Hopefully she comes to the truth about Jesus...and she heard it from people who know Him.
