Tammy taught two English classes all by herself! I am so proud of her!
She taught several kids, and they all love her, and had so much fun with her. She makes learning English fun. Tae asked if she could teach by herself, so I can focus on other things. I'm thankful for the time to pray and plan. So when I came next door to see Tammy, she looked all comfy like she was a teacher with a lot of experience. I cant tell you how happy and proud I am of my wife! She never taught anything before so much, she always was my helper at the church.
I spent several hours practicing with the worship band. They are fun,and I have no idea of what they are singing (they give me the general drift of the song), but I play along with the guitar. The other guiar is amped, so people could barely hear when I make a mistake, which is good, because Im only chiming in, and sometimes i make mistakes. But the thai worship songs are so beautiful and heartfelt. There's so much joy in them, and they are very cute. The language itself is very song-like anyway. People sound like they are singing when they talk, but add instruments to it, and you have a beautiful sound. Especially as it is aimed to the Lord. If I'm smiling, can you imagine the smile from the Lord above who watches and hears us singing praise to Him? It's an honor to be on the team. I pray that I can be worshipping just as much as I normally like to, despite the task of following along with everyone (i'm just watching the hands of the other guitarists for my queque, since I can't read the thai alphabet which is based on sanscrit (the oldest known alphabet known to man).
Then I invested a lot of time studying thai language. I met the owners of the next door coffee shop and they helped me thru a lot. I'm currently trying to draft some dialogue which i will use to promote our radio shows, and to promote the english center at the church. Once we get that down, we'll be dangerous. Watch out!
Later we had coffee with a korean student, and a korean/american missionary from chicago who teaches English. That guy is a walking talking encyclopedia! He is very informative!
Hey, thanks for praying about transportation. A tuk tuk just dropped off some people and I got the driver's phone number. I plan on using that guy to get around town when me and tammy got to take the 20 minute ride to Harbor Mall. (I didn't want to have to ride on the motor bike, and I refused to let Tammy do that because of the danger).
God is answering your prayers. Thank you very much.
