Had a great time this morning. All day was good.
We went to meet the church members and went to the 1 hour biblestudy prior to church service. I like how active everything is. It's great to see how Tae has structured the church. It's always a big massive exodus out of church usually in america because people have to run to do their thing. Here ppl hang out.

They get there to pray early. Then they go into separate rooms to learn something from the bible, and allow others to teach. Then worship time happens, and the songs sound so great. Everyone is really into it. Sometimes you can go to church in america, and the band sounds great, but the people in the pews are just not into it. Over here, it's everyone crying sincere thanks to the Lord. Thailand is only 0.5% Christian. But from the looks of things that 0.5% are pretty passionate. I met a few others today, and they have their own stories of answered prayers/miracles. One fellow had been in coma after a terrible car accident. He lost use of his leg. But after people prayed for him, he could walk again. I suppose it takes that kind of thing for people to come to church out here. It's not a popular thing to do, it's not a pickup scene, and the church is small so that the pastor has an eye out for the needs.
I had a chance to play guitar with the folks in the band. That was a lot of fun, and it was very moving to realize we are actually here. Tammy had a chance to say thanks to everyone with me from the front of the church. She said one man in the audience was so moved that she said she promised to come with me to Thailand before we married, that the fellow wept with tears. The church is very thankful for us. It's kind of trippy because we really have a hard time communicating to most here except with Tae and Fang, and a couple teens, and Elder Whoot. They translate for us, but they are key individuals that need to be doing their thing, not catering to us. So we're hopeful translaters will show up from the friends we meet along the way. Tae says people are very moved that we would leave america for them. They say they don't know how, but they are certain God sent us and we'll be a big blessing for their church.
After we went to learn more thai language at the local cofee shop. We went to the Harbor Mall and bought more things we needed for the home. tammy needed some cleaning stuff, and a pad for the mattress. And we bought stuff we could use, that we could donate to the church afterwards. We bought poster stuff and we will be making the posters over this week to promote the radio show, the english classes, and biblestudies.
Later Elder Whoot and his family brought us to this awesome seafood place on the seaside. That was great!!! His family is so cool. He shared the message today on how Jesus worked hard day and night. His wife led worship singing, she's got a voice like an angel. Her son Brite played drums. And the daughter Beau played keyboards.
Monday is our day off, but we intend to spend it on making those flyers, posters, and studying thai language.
