Today we slept in til noon! We were tired. I was especially pooped after updating this blog. Somebody better be reading it!
Tammy did laundry. There's a lot to it here, as it is semi automated. It takes a lot of intervention to perform the various wash, rinse cycles, and line dry. Tammy hated it! But she was glad she is getting clean laundry.
She then played keyboard practicing her christian songs. Later, Tammy hung out with Fang and the kids at church.
Tae took me on a fun ride thru Pattaya. I was helping him pick up all the water he sells. I saw the RO system the people have. I took a bunch of pictures to see their basic design and settings. He would love prayer for him to start his own water store. It would cost about $3000 to start, discounted from $9000, because his Christian friend will help him.
I got to meet a few new believers Tae ministers to. I also got to meet a korean couple that are missionaries. They helped Tae throw a great christmas party last year, over 400 people came to see the event!
Pray again for Tammy's boundaries, as local foods are a big turn off for her here. There's not much to choose from near the church. Sometimes the food can be so delicious from the local vendors, but the standards of hygeine are always sub american standards. It's really tough on Tammy because she's so careful, which is a good thing. But it's an obstacle that hopefully we can jump over and find places we can trust, because we want to save money here, instead of buying junk food for 10times more. We'll see what happens. I hope to find some good places not too far away from it.
I also found out there are not many taxis out here. No tuk tuks either. Just motor bikes. I refuse to let Tammy and I to be escorted on a motor bike out here. We're just going to have to keep things within walking distance.
God bless you all for praying. Tomorrow we're shopping for some temporary furniture. Tae is still pursueing a way of getting me a work visa teaching english. Their entire church is praying for us.
