Monday-Day off? Nope this was a pretty good day!!!

Monday was very fruitful.
I was up late last night even though I was tired.  I couldn't help myself but to pay the money to watch the 49ers for the next four weeks, and they played at midnight, til 3am.  They got blown out 31-10 I think.  What a waste.

But today was great after we got out of bed around 11am.  We hitched a ride to the post office with Tae and Fang (I had to send a letter to my insurance company, praise God they got me an outstanding deal better than my COBRA deal).  We then hitched a ride further down the road to Robinson mall.  Tammy shopped for some knick knacks that we'll be reimbursed for, to give to the pregnant lady of the church, for her baby shower.  We had a great healthy meal with plenty of veggies galore in a yummy soup.  We were turned off by the prices at that mall, so we went to the other mall called Harbor Mall.  Better deals there.

Tammy asked me before about getting a copy of Bambi.  She eventually was discouraged after looking a handful of places at different times and not seeing it.  I wanted to look again at this one place and she said, they won't have it, it's not here, people never have it.  I joked with her, have some faith, ye of little faith.  She said shut up!  I have faith!  I laughed and I said then why do you say why bother looking then!  So God blessed us because not only we found Bambi 1, but we found Bambi 2!  Faith and the lack of faith are such a fine line sometimes, it can be subtle.  Shopping for a frivelous thing like Bambi is a stupid example maybe, but why bother praying if you don't think God can do it in His mysterious ways?

I think we had a few divine appointments today, and a lot of seeds were planted.  I encouraged Tammy last night that I have to really take into account that God is speaking to her, and that God uses her to help steer me on any given day...and as Pastor Brooks at the wedding said, that God uses her to speak to me...and I need to be listening.  After the very impactful message on Sunday that reinforced something we had really dissected in the Bible several weeks prior, I asked Tammy to please make sure she is reading the Bible and praying in her quiet times, alone, with God.  And I promised I have to do a better job sharing with her what I'm reading.  I have to admit I've been enjoying too many movies and documentaries, updating facebook, and this blog that I haven't been reading to Tammy, as is commanded in the Bible for me to do as a husband.  This is how you abide in Christ.  How can you abide in Christ if you can't hear Him speak?  How can you have the mind tuned in to what God is saying unless you're actively pursuing to hear what He has to say?  Sometimes I have to fight thru the sentiment that comes in now and then saying, ah you read that, you know that.  That's stupid.  I guess it's like, I can't have a pizza because I've had a pizza before.  I don't know, all I know is that really is stupid of me to think that way.

Today we received the 4 membranes from Hydranautics.  Praise God!!!!

Today we received notice a couple more people want to donate toward the causes out here in Ao Udom. Praise God!!!!

Today we shared several seeds of faith, several testimonies, to the lady that helped me print several enlarged Kodak photos of Christian art, and of amazing pictures that have God stories in our own personal lives, that we hope to share either in our living room/ice cream shop, or on the streets on a poster board.  We had the thai dictionary and she tracked us well.  The pics with the evidence of our stories really were powerful.  We gave her the special brochure with the Gospel and some other thai writings of other christians who experience miracles in their lives.

I feel recharged with fresh ideas and inspired.  I look at the opportunities available thru this shop.  Please pray for the owner who wants to bail.  Today we met again and we encouraged her because of some heavy  personal things she's going thru.  I told her of some of my darkest days just a few years ago, even as a Christian, and what God did for me to show His grace upon my life to quickly restore me after I went thru the painful stuff I did.  She was very moved with the truth, and wanted to have dinner with us instead of running the shop.  When we hung out at the coffee shop and ordered pizza, she found out about the dream I had about living upstairs from a shop that served food/beverages before we ever came to thailand.  It hit home with her.  The story of the water store and my experience as an engineer and how Tae started the water biz just about the time I introduced myself to him, really blew her away too.  You can see her eyes opening and the belief coming in that God truly guides, provides, and wants specific things done in specific ways...and she was beginning to see God had a plan for her too.  She said in thai through our friend Dao that she was so thankful for everything...  We had offered to help her by being available to sit and run the shop a handful of hours throughout the week, because she works at the factory and is tired.

The thing is the shop is a place for people to meet us and hear our story.  3 of the gals who came to see Tammy for class, who Tammy shared the Gospel with on Saturday, met us in the ice cream shop the days prior.  I believe God impressed on my heart we are only scratching the surface of what we can do at the shop.  If we just got our butt out of the living room and sat under the huge fan outside with the TV out there.
So we prayed about that though we were tired after shopping.  We sat outside.  And our friend from the university "Boi" showed up, and wanted to hang out.  Before you know it he was talking with us for 3 hours at the shop!  We shared a lot about school, life, and then God.  Thank you for praying for him, because tonite was the night he asked us, will you please let me know God... i want to follow Jesus!  Amen!!!!

What's really outstanding is that I believe the Lord told me last night, prepare the poster for 2012 (the fictiion movie about the end of the world), and prepare the truth from the Bible to the poster to nullify the fiction, but show the truth from Revelation.. People are afraid of the end, are curious, and can't help themselves but want to know...they kind of like being scared for some reason.  So prepare the poster.  So i did start it.  And I did buy the movie just so I can refresh my memory about the fiction story.  And also to pray about preparing poster boards and hanging out by the pub and by the 711 across the street where everyone is hanging out.  So we got rolling on that.  And the other thing God impressed on our heart is be available outside of the ice cream shop.  We obeyed on all those accounts, and all of that played a role in leading Boi to the Lord.  Praise God!!!  He asked about the very things I was preparing in the poster..and I think that's the thing that got him over the hump, so to speak.

Lastly, please pray for Dao and VJ.  We spent time in the shop, and shared videos on Giants (fossils, and pictures of current humungous people larger than Shaquille Oneal, women too!  Then shared short video of King David of israel.  Then started on the David and Goliath story with the 3D artwork and the pics of the battlefield the Israelites and Philistines met at, plus the timeline 3000 years ago.  VJ really enjoyed the stuff, but 9pm came so the shop was to close.  We will finish wednesday.

Please pray for Mele my cousin who may be dying of cancer.  We will visit in Dec, but she's going to China for special care tomorrow.  Please pray for Mele?

We recieved the 4 membranes from the best membrane manufacturer in the world- Hydranautics!

Here's our friends Dao, VJ, and Gai.  Gai really was encouraged tonite with the praise reports of what God is doing.

Our friend from across the street "Boiy" stopped in and left as an adopted, redeemed, forgiven,  purchased child of God with a hope and an eternal future, through a faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  9/27/2010 11:50pm he confessed his need for Jesus to pay for him, and asked Jesus to be his personal Lord and Savior.

God bless,

Alex
