Last night had a lot of thunderstorms. It kept tammy awake all night, so she was pooped in the morning.
Today is supposed to be one of our university days.
We woke up, and prepared more flyers, this time for the radio show and for our own english/biblestudy class with our phone number on it. We got going to Harbor Mall to pass some of these out. We found a free bus that took us there, and while waiting for the bus, we met students that expressed interest in the english classes. Today we probably got at least 10 names and numbers. Please pray that there is some fruit from our labor.
We bought a few things for the house, including some cartoons for kids. We got back and took a short 2 hour nap because of the long night. When we woke up we got a chance to help Tae put all the jugs of water away, and then we had dinner, and went up to the university...finally. I feel bad about that, but we were doing things earlier in the day that bore some fruit. Anyways, we met a few people there too that are interested in the class. I hope they can come, or that we can arrange something. It sucks that most folks here do not have basic english yet. They are very educated folks, but it's just they have their own unique culture. It's a bit discouraging for me personally because we have a lot to share verbally, but can't. We're handcuffed not only by the language barrier, the lack of a translator that is available, and the fact the culture really doesn't yet know anything about Jesus. These are all things I knew coming into this, but yet had plenty of affirmation and answers to prayer that confirmed this is where the Lord want us at this time. So I just trust that if we stay faithful by studying the language, and trying our best, God will do the rest. This Sunday I'll have an opportunity to teach the bible to at least 2-5 students that will come to our home before church's worship time.
The rest of the night I played basketball while tammy stood in the stands and enjoyed listening to all the kids singing and cheering from the bleachers as they practiced their cheers.
God bless. Thanks for praying for us and checking in!
Friday will be a long day of service, as we'll be with Pastor Tae as he disciples in many home cells.
