WEDNESDAY

Today I woke up and called our friend from the church, Willard.  He rode me by motorbike through the countryside to the mall.  I went to buy an extra pillow and sheets, and towels for our friends coming in to visit us from Ireland, who are missionaries.  I could only bring so much on the bike.

Tammy stayed behind to do some laundry.  Thanks to Fang, we used the church's laundry machine.

We got a new fridge.  Praise God that the owner provided one for us!  Tammy waited for the folks who would bring the refrigerator.  She fixed a sign that we bought materials for..We will carry it to steer people our direction for english class sign ups.  We can hold it up at the university or near the street corner where the church is.  The church is kind of hidden from the main road.

I went to study at the university, thai language.  Tammy couldn't go because of the owners' frigerator was coming in.  I didn't see anyone on the baskeball court at all during the day...I suppose they wait til night when it's cool.  I'll keep that in mind next time.  So I just spent some time preparing for the class we would conduct. 

Tonite we had a great bible study/english class. We are doing a conversational style format for our english class. We start with a game that forces you to think on your feet. Then we go into table topics about life. Tonite we asked about what one looks for when searching for a companion...then asked whether they wou...ld trust their dad to choose a companion for them. Then asked whether life was influenced by all choice, or all destiny, or a combination there of. Then we went into Genesis 24. I think the pics we had of the actual spots of the story, citing the dates which it happened, and showing the digital map of the journey described really helped them. They loved it. Next class will not be about a romance, it'll be more action packed.

The owner and her boyfriend really enjoyed the time. I think in the future the Lord will provide more. But it was a very special time between those two and Tammy. God orchestrated some funny things to show us that He was watching.

It was funny because I was asking VJ whether he would trust his dad or not, whether he would trust his dad to choose a wife for him. And out of the blue, his dad kept phone calling him. I kept asking him whether he trusted his dad in different ways, and he couldn't answer.  Then his dad called his cell multiple times right when we were on the question.  He was wondering what the heck was going on?!!! Then when we got to the topic of Rebekah running to tell her mom, all of a sudden his mother called VJ and interupted the story.  He and his girlfriend were laughing very hard by the serendipity of it all.
